Meetings to date:

The Feburary meeting was an informal coffee meeting at the Prince George White Spot restaurant. 28 people were in attendance. The meeting was held to introduce the founding members and to encourage participation.

The March 1st meeting was held at the PG Golf and Curling Club. The guest speaker was John Hallam, a member of the 110 West Independence Movement. Prince George North Reform candidate Lisa Maskell spoke about the restructuring of the Reform B.C. party. 78 people were in attendance. There was discussion concerning Bill C-68 (gun control) and a short video was watched about gun seizures. We want to extend very special thanks to Mel Owen for donating payment for the meeting room.

Meetings are currently being organized for Quesnel, Williams Lake and Vancouver. Dates, times and locations will be posted as soon as they have been confirmed.

Prince George Meeting

The next meeting of the central interior branch of the British Columbia Separatist Movement will be April 12th, 2001 at 7:00 pm. The meeting will take place in Prince George at the downstairs meeting room of the Prince George Golf and Curling Club (2515 Recreation Place - three blocks west on highway 16 from the junction of highways 97 and 16).

guest speaker Guest Speaker: Provincial independent candidate "Fred McLeod" running for Prince George North

fact and figures Presentation of facts and figures to validate the need for separation

budget Discussion about proposed budgets and currency

budget presentation Tenative presentation by business students from UNBC on recommended provincial budget

board Discussion regarding the need for a formal board of directors or other structure for the movement

closing Closing remarks
