A little about the author:

William (Bill) E.S. Clancey has had a lifetime career in British Columbia as a business facilitator, public relations advisor and public affairs consultant. His background, which spans seven decades, has made him one of the knowledgeable persons of many major projects in British Columbia. Through his private firm, Wm. Clancey and Associates, Mr. Clancey has provided boardroom counsel for many prominent executives and corporations. He has served at an executive level in banking, heavy construction, mining and energy, and has consistently maintained upper echelon liason with both business and government.

In the resource sector, he has provided counsel to Bechtel Canada, Perine Canada, Foundation Company of Canada and the Dravo Corporation.

Mr. Clancey has long advocated that water is the most precious commodity in British Columbia. He believes that, through the sale of a small amount, it has the potential to become the biggest single source of renewable income to the province of British Columbia. Mr. Clancey formed Multinational Water and Power Inc. as a venture company to explore the feasibility of selling water.

Mr. Clancey has received several commendations for his endeavours in the founding of the B.C. Lions Football Team, the Bank of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, and for his contributions to many events, including both the federal and provincial centennial celebrations.
